It is almost entirely scriptures worthy of meditation and memorization, with two small additions—a poem from The Pilgrim’s Progress and some extra drilling on Zs and Qs. This Copybook is designed to provide daily copywork lessons for two years, for a child who has the fundamentals of penmanship in hand—geared toward a student in his 3rd and 4th years of schooling.
The manuscript pages are lined in the equivalent of wide or college rule, as the student progresses. The sample text is written out in typeset, as it was in the old books, not with a machine-set, artificial cursive.
